We are excited to begin our third Market Season in the 12 South Neighborhood this year. The 12 South Market was a huge success in our 2011 pilot season, and again last year. It proved that consumers desire an accessible local food option in their neighborhood. Several local eating establishments continue to pledge their support and even more are serving locally produced food on their menus. The people who live and work around Sevier Park have already made this market the pride of their community.

As the awareness of the environmental and health benefits of local, sustainable agriculture has grown, so too has the demand for such options to be brought into more Nashville communities. The continued support of a neighborhood based farmers market not only brings local food options to the consumer, but also helps economically support TN farmers and local business owners. In addition, it brings a vibrant sense of community that is based on health, wellness and education.
